Elijah's First Haircut
Of our three children, Elijah was the only one to actually need a haircut at a year old. Both Isabella and Sienna had very little hair at a year. We certainly couldn't do this...,
and they were both about 18 months before they had a mullet like this...
This is why Elijah had his first official haircut today (not counting when he had half of his head shaved for his surgery)! Mike insisted on cutting Elijah's hair himself. I was, admitedly, very nervous about that. Mike used the clippers first.
Aside from being curious, Elijah didn't seem to mind the process.
Then Mike finished off the top with the scissors.
Decorating Easter Eggs
Easter egg decorating is serious business in the Petro household! (Remember our pumpkin carving contest?) Actually we didn't have an egg decorating contest; although, that's something to consider for the future! Isabella asked every day for several days leading up to Easter when we could color Easter eggs. Today was finally the day!
We wrapped rubberbands around some of the eggs to create a striped effect.
Sienna decorated all six of her eggs in about 10 minutes. Isabella, on the other hand, took her sweet time and let each egg sit in the dye for a while to get brighter colors. She's much more patient than Sienna when it comes to this kind of stuff.
Easter Snow?!?!?!

Dirty Laundry
Elijah was helping me with the laundry when he found something (or someone) lurking in the laundry basket!
A Good Friday
Since the girls were off school for Good Friday, we spent a beautiful day at the Capron Park Zoo with lots of friends.
The white llama almost gave Isabella a kiss on the top of the head. She told me that llamas like her blond hair because they think that it's hay!

New Goodies
The girls got some special goodies from Aunt Tracy, Uncle Jeff, Trevor and Sydney. Isabella got this fancy canopy to hang over her bed. I hung it while she was at school, so I surprised her when she came home.
Sydney picked out this pretty scarf, and Sienna is also wearing one of Sydney's old sweaters that has a sparkly "S" on it. The girls love anything from their big cousins!!
